Why are the Three Wavelengths Important?
The three wavelengths are essential as they provide a fast and effective way to treat all skin types, including dark and light skin. Lasers with only one or two of the wavelengths will be less effective in removing hair permanently from certain types of hair and skin. Also, speeds critical, as the fewer session needed reduces the overall cost.
The Alexandrite 755nm - is the most common type of hair removal laser and is the best all-rounder, but generally best for light to olive skin. Whereas the ND Yag 1064nm - is ideal for darker skin. Furthermore, the Diode 810nm laser is built for speed and is very effective on darker skin. To best serve our patients who have a variety of different skin types and shades, ranging from very dark to pale. The combination of wavelengths provides the best solution to removing unwanted hair fast.
However, all lasers will struggle to remove very light and fair hair. The simple explanation of why is that dark hair absorbs the light energy, whereas light hair reflects it.
Why is the Cooling Tip Special?
During the treatment, the laser energy heats the hair follicles and the surrounding skin, which can be uncomfortable. However, the unique cooling tip cools the skin during the treatment resulting in virtually no discomfort.

The three wavelengths are the Alexandrite 755nm, ND Yag 1064 and the Diode 810nm. These wavelengths enable the laser to treat all skin types, including light, darker and tanned complexions.

The higher power generated by the combined technology means that you will need fewer treatments saving you money. Typically hair will be removed permanently between six and eight sessions. However, darker skin will often need a minimum of ten.
