Skin Tag Treatment
A skin tag is a tiny piece of skin that is connected to the healthy skin by a thin stalk. Skin tags tend to hang. And typically grow in places where there is friction with either skin or clothing. Such as:
- The neck,
- Upper chest,
Are they dangerous?
The tag is usually a benign growth. Meaning that it is not cancerous. However, our skin experts will confirm this during your skin consultation. And refer you to a Doctor if required.
What Causes Skin Tags?
Most skin tags are caused by the rubbing of clothing or skin on skin. Therefore, they tend to be more common in the areas mentioned above.
It is unusual to see young babies with a skin tag. And it is widely believed that they only form with age. However, they do tend to run in families. So, there is a genetic connection!
Who gets a skin tag?
