What causes warts?
Warts are caused by an infection under the top layer of the skin. Caused by a virus specifically HPV (human papillomavirus). The virus usually enters the skin via a scratch or wound. And causes a rapid growth of skin cells. Warts are contagious and can be spread from skin to skin. However, there are different strains of the virus. Resulting in different levels of contagion.
