These are small pockets of cholesterol deposits which appear around the eyes. The deposits are easy to remove in the clinic but can be an indication of high cholesterol. Therefore we would always recommend you consult your GP to check your cholesterol level. These fatty deposits tend to be either flat or lumpy and can appear either white or yellow dependent on the skin colour. And can show up very rapidly, although in limited cases they can grow gradually.
How Can The Fatty Deposits Be Removed?
We use a process called Sublimation, that painlessly dissolves the deposit without leaving a scar.
Are There Any Side Effects?
The risks of this treatment are small, but there is a slight chance of light scaring and lightening of the skin.
What Results Can I Expect?
You can fairly expect removal of the deposits without scarring. However, it is quite likely that they may return at some future date, especially if you have untreated high cholesterol.
Before Treatment and Aftercare
During your free skin consultation, your Aesthetician will discuss the treatment with you. Along with the aftercare process.
As discussed earlier this condition can be an indication of high cholesterol. Which can lead to a more serious health condition, we therefore always recommend that you consult your GP who can treat any underlying medical issues.Book Now
